Three Things I Love
Here are three things I love.
I love Little Engines magazine. I got into Adam Voith’s writing after picking up his first book, Bridges with Spirit, off the merch table at a Pedro the Lion (thanks Dave Bazan) show at the Che Cafe a long time ago. (I feel like I could write 1,000 words about that particular moment.) Little Engines is unquestionably great. Today they published a thing I wrote in audio form called “Young Lions.” Voith’s got a book coming out soon that you will love. I read an early version of it, and more or less did so in one sitting. Keep an eye out. It will be your new friend.
I love writing for Zona Motel. On Monday they published the final installment of the “farm liveblog” series I was doing for them. The spring installment. Put a lot of effort into that series. Now I’m not sure what to write. Maybe something about Mellow Pages.
I love finally getting the chance to tell you this: I’m going to be announcing preorders for my new book, Wild Horse Shit, on Friday aka in two days. Stay tuned for that, okay? 1
This is a footnote: That’s all I love. Just joking, I love a lot of things. (Fake rubies that are actually clear red plastic. A good knife. The moon. Eating. Tequila. Swimming in the sea. The smell of night-blooming jasmine. Setting cardboard on fire.) Maybe I love you for reading this. Good chance of that. See you Friday. Okay? Friday. Write it down. Or write it down in your head.
