Here are the questions I was asked this week from various strangers after they found out I write books. “Are you rich?” “How long are your books?” “Do you write fantasy?” “You any good at it?” “Do you write the words yourself?” “Do you have an office?” “Do you use someone else’s name?” “Would I know your books?” “Anything I’ve heard of?” “Do you have a job?” “You make money at that?” “Would I like your books?” There were a few more. Those are the ones I remember.

“Are you rich?” No. Not at all.
“How long are your books?” Each one's a different length.
“Do you write fantasy?” No. I don't.
“You any good at it?” I don't know.
“Do you write the words yourself?” (?)
“Do you have an office?” I write outside.
“Do you use someone else’s name?” No.
“Would I know your books?” I don't know.
“Anything I’ve heard of?” I don't know.
“Do you have a job?” That's my job.
“You make money at that?” A little bit.
